Long have I heard about the hilarity of the Phineas and Ferb tv show. During this holiday break, I finally had the opportunity to watch a few episodes. With a brief understanding of the spirit of the show and appreciation for their humor, I figured it would be an opportune time to review the Phineas and Ferb Arcade game for iPhone and iPad!
The app has a lot of fancy animation between screens and menus. The first screen is fairly standard, so we’ll head to the “Games”!
Rating:Official Site: Disney’s Where’s My Water?
I previously reviewed Disney’s Where’s My Water? for the iPhone, and gave it 5 stars. Needless to say, the game is essentially the same on the Kindle Fire. Due to the similarity, I would recommend reading the iPhone review for more details, and I’ll talk a little about the differences here.
You’ll notice it has the same screens that you may already be used to, here with the holiday theme due to the time of year.

As a visitor to this site, it is assumed that you are a Disney fan and are likely attempt to visit the Disney Parks as often as possible. The WDW Resort Researcher app intends to help you satisfy your resort planning questions.
The app starts with a sparse interface, presenting a list of resort options at the Walt Disney World resorts. If you select one of the resorts, it will present you with an overall rating with a few teasers of user provided reviews. Near the top you’ll see two buttons, one for pictures and the other is the price calculator.
CNET has posted an article with some fairly obvious, but good reminders, on how to increase your Kindle Fire’s battery life.
Rating:Official Site: Stitcher
Many people have come to associate their mobile devices as being audio devices. We download our music and podcasts to listen to while we are traveling and generally mobile. The Kindle Fire was designed as an e-reader first and tablet second. As such, the Kindle Fire doesn’t have an inherent ability to listen to podcasts. Stitcher has been available for the iOS devices for awhile, and now is available on the Kindle Fire to fill this podcast void. In general, the Stitcher app is designed to provide streaming access to radio stations and podcasts.

Official Site: Where’s My Water? Free
Several days ago, we had shared the announcement of Swampy having a “Where’s My Water?” Free edition released. It sounded as if it was a limited edition of our highly rated paid version of Where’s My Water?. With the holidays approaching, I hadn’t had time to investigate! Well, I finally found some time, and very pleased with my discovery.
A couple days ago, we reported that Pirates of the Caribbean : Master of the Seas was teasing a Ghostly Seadog Contest for December 24th. The contest arrived on the 24th as promised. When I logged in on the 24th, I was presented with a pop-up saying:
GHOSTLY SEADOG CONTEST
Are you ready to take part in the hunt? A mysterious Ghostly Seadog has been wreaking havoc across the seas, waging battle, then vanishin’ in a flash. But be among the first 1000 to send her to her to the depths 10 times in the next 15 days and you’ll reap the rewards.
The apparent prize is a Ghostly Seadog Cannon worth 500 attack points and is labeled as “unsalable”.
Once I closed the pop-up, an additional status item was addd to the screen. The new status screen shows my progress, as well as the overall progress of other people in the game.
Based on a couple comments ( #1 and #2 ), it would seem people aren’t impressed with the contest. Did anyone conquer the Ghostly Seadog? Do you have any tips or tricks on how you beat the Ghostly Seadog?
Disney has announced on their Disney Parks Blog, that the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will provided an enhanced experience with the Shazam mobile app. Shazam is an app for your mobile device, that can listen to the music around you and identify the title and artist. The Shazam iTunes page describes it as: “Hear a song you don’t know? Shazam identifies it instantly.”
Presumably, Disney will be using the integration to try to help sell some of the holiday songs that will be performed during the parade. Shazam has recently been doing similar partnerships for commercials and some TV shows. We’ve all been watching a movie or TV show and wondered who sang the song you were hearing!

Club Penguin’s Puffle Launch has been updated with 12 new bonus levels, as well as bug fixes. I had tried to do the update while I was on the run, but it wouldn’t allow me to due to it exceeding 20MB in size. I was forced to do the update over Wi-Fi or by connecting to my computer. It feels as if Puffle Launch has lost some momentum, due to the success of Where’s My Water?. I’d expect full levels added, and more frequently than they’ve been appearing.
What’s New in Version 1.2
We hope you love Puffle Launch as much as we do. This update includes bug fixes, plus 12 new bonus levels!
